"My goal as a coach is to impact the players in a way in which they not only develop a love for volleyball, but see the overall importance of being a team and a supportive individual. I do my best to teach every player not only their specific position, but also the roles of everyone on the court so they can better help each other, and eventually reach that next level. I believe the knowledge of the game and a team concept is not only helpful for a successful season, but for anything these young ladies are or will be involved in."

She has taught every level of English, freshman through senior, and since coming to McKinney has taught Pre AP freshmen and sophomores and now teaches Senior English. She is also the assistant varsity and head junior varsity softball coach.
There are four basic principles to my philosophy for coaching: one, regardless of how talented or skilled an athlete comes to me, she can always improve; and it is my job to make sure she does; two, I need to teach athletes to understand game strategies so that they can perform their best; three, my goal is that athletes enjoy the experience of competing (most people call this "fun"); and four, if it is her desire to compete at the next higher level, I have prepared her as much as I can to accomplish that goal.
